Cheltenham School of Sport and Remedial Massage - CSSRM
CSSRM is a new training school set in the heart of the Cotswolds focused on delivering professional training across a variety of massage disciplines.
The school is accredited through Edexcel (centre no. 08614) to offer number of BTEC Diploma courses, including Anatomy, Physiology and Massage, Sports Massage and Injury Rehabilitation, and On Site Massage
Please note that students wishing to undertake a diploma in either Sports Massage and Injury rehabilitation or On Site Massage will normally be expected to hold a recognized certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage, or an equivalent therapy or body treatment.
Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage
This is an ideal foundation course for any individual wishing to pursue a career in Complementary Therapy and seen by many associations as a prerequisite to undertaking more advanced courses.
Diploma in Sports Massage and Injury Rehabilitation
The CSSRM Diploma in Sports Massage and Injury Rehabilitation has been designed to equip existing practitioners with the skills and knowledge required to treat individuals from professional sports persons to those with day-to-day remedial conditions.
Diploma in On Site Massage
The Diploma in On Site Massage is designed to provide the practitioner with the skills to deliver a highly effective, stress preventative massage treatment, ideally designed for use in the workplace.
Short Courses
CSSRM also offers a number of short professional development courses, designed to enhance the skills of existing practitioners.
CSSRM Trainers
CSSRM training is managed by experienced trainers, all of whom are practitioners in sport and remedial massage. This enhances student learning by providing real-life experiences, rather than by-the-book training.

The courses will be held at the Cheltenham Borough Council Leisure Facility.

Students will be given full access to changing, parking facilities.
The facility is only a short walk from Cheltenham town centre which offers a wide range of shops, and eating facilities.
Insurance
Student insurance will be required to complete your external studies, though check first with your current insurance provider as your existing policy may well cover you as a student on additional courses. Insurance can be arranged through the following providers:

For the Sports Massage Diploma, Students are advised to obtain a First Aid certificate before, or on completion of the course, as this is often required as part of your insurance policy. This can be arranged through the CSSRM or privately by the student via a recognised provider, e.g. St. John Ambulance or Red Cross.
